What is RE:ALIZE?
RE:ALIZE is a Dual-Enrollment Arts Program led by teaching artists and college professors. We offer courses in dance, music, media, theater, and visual arts to CPS high school juniors and seniors in which materials are free of cost provided by the Department of Arts Education.

Students take 101 college level courses each semester at Columbia College Chicago
Students are enrolled as college students , giving them access to Columbia’s student events, resources, and facilities
DUAL ENROLLMENT
Students attend their current HS and are scheduled to attend RE:ALIZE from 2-4pm, Monday - Friday
Students earn 6-12 free college credits AND HS art credits for every college course. Each semester they earn 3 college credits and 1 fine art credit for HS
Students are placed into a cohort of 15-20 young artists led by a Professional Artist
Students develop their own unique portfolio, with the guidance of their mentoring Teaching Artist amongst their cohort and creative community

Last Day to Interview is February 20th, 2027
Schedule an Interview:
1) Submit your application and select a virtual interview date
2) Attend your virtual interview
After Your Interview:
You will receive a decision letter at the end of the same month that you complete your interview. Your spot in RE:ALIZE will not be reserved until you complete the steps in your acceptance email; spots are reserved on a “first come, first serve” basis.
3) Submit the documents outlined in your acceptance email.
4) Complete registration for Columbia College Chicago.
