LOCKERS AND BOOKS

• Color-code notebooks (Keep the color the same every year to make it easier on you!)
• Have a special folder for communication with school and your parents/guardians.
• Place all books so that they are facing the same direction.
• Keep your books and binders for the same class together so that they are easy to grab.
• Keep papers neatly in folders so they don’t get crinkled.

HOW DO I REMEMBER EVERYTHING?

• Write your name on your agenda and pass pages.
• Have a special place for your agenda so you know where it is.
• Write assignments in your agenda for a quick reference.
• Before you leave school for the day, look at your agenda.
• Use the learning calendars on the website.

ORGANIZING SUPPLIES

• Have a pocket in your trapper/bag designated for your pencils and pens.
• Possibly put a basket or organizer of some sort for other supplies at home and your locker for:
• Glue
• Colored Pencils
• Notecards

KEEP ORGANIZED AT HOME

• Plan to organize your school papers/folders
• Have a special place to do your homework (i.e. kitchen table, desk)
• Keep a routine for homework
• If projects are overwhelming, break them down into smaller steps
• Be forward thinking in regards to your academic calendar. Tests? Projects? Target Checks?
