Sections & Play Up

Section #1 - 2000 Plus

  • For players with USCF 2000+ ratings
  • 4 1900-1999 players are allowed to play up with extra fees - first come first serve - post event rating can be used for qualification as long as it’s maintained before event starts

Section #2 - 1600 Plus

  • For players with USCF 1600+ ratings
  • 4 1500-1599 players are allowed to play up with extra fees - first come first serve - post event rating can be used for qualification as long as it’s maintained before event starts

Notes -

    • Players with USCF 2000+ rating can play in either of the sections
      • If your rating is 2000+ and wants better opportunities for prizes, you can play in 1600+ sections
      • If your rating is 2000+ and want stronger games, you can play in the 2000+ sections
    • Players with USCF 1600-1999 can only play in 1600+ section
    • Post tournament rating can be used for section and play up qualification if the rating is maintained before tournament starts
    • Play up is strictly limited to 4 seats per section

Section #1 - 2000 Plus

  • Prizes - $30/entry ($300 gtd) - $20/entry - $10/entry
  • We offer conditions to 1-2 GM/IM’s with USCF 2500+ rating
  • GM/WGM Free Entry, IM/WIM free entry if register 1 week in advance
  • $100 entry for USCF 2000+ if register 1 week in advance, $20 extra after
  • 1900 Play up (4 seats) - 1900-1949 $50 extra, 1950-1999 $25 extra

Section #2 - 1600 Plus

  • Prizes - $15/entry - $10/entry - $5/entry
  • We offer conditions to 2 USCF 2000-2199 players to play in this section
  • We do not offer conditions for players with USCF 2200+ ratings to play in this section. But you are more than welcome to play in this section even you are a GM! :)
  • Free entry for USCF 2000+ if register 1 week in advance
  • $50 entry for USCF 1600+ if register 1 week in advance, $20 extra after
  • 1500 Play up (4 seats) - 1500-1549 $50 extra, 1550-1599 $25 extra
