What are oil-spills?

• An oil spill is when oil spills in the area that oil is drilled, transported, or used
• the most common oil that is spilled is crude oil.
• They often happen by accident
• most of the time oil spills in the ocean.
• Oil spills can affect human health, these effects include eye and skin irritation and breathing problems.

What is Nanotechnology?

Nanotechnology is the division of technology that deals with the aspect and tolerances of fewer than 100 nanometers, especially the manipulation of single atoms & molecules.

How is Nanotechnology being used to clean oil spills?

Nanotechnology is fascinating especially when it comes to oil-spills. Oil spills are very difficult to address and cause serious ecological harm.

The future

Without cleaning

Oil is toxic and if you don’t clean up an oil spill it can affect the wildlife there. The oil spill can also harm and damage the environment.

With cleaning

If all the oil spills are cleaned up then the ocean would be cleaner so the animals living in the ocean would be safer and healthier. there would be less air pollution in the air and if there is less air pollution than we humans would be healthier.
