Creative Connections

31 of 34

Creative Connections is a new office in Arrow and Slocan Lakes Community Services

  • We are working with Better at Home, Seniors’ Activities, and other offices at ASLCS to create opportunities to help support seniors and make meaningful connections in the community
  • We are funded by Columbia Basin Trust, with transportation funded by the Arrow Lakes Health Care Auxiliary

32 of 34

Creative Connections seeks to connect seniors and other members of the community.

We are doing this through:

  1. Community Calendar showcasing events in and around the community (ASLCS.com/calendar)
  2. Volunteer Recruitment connecting those with needs to those with capacity (ASLCS.com/becomevolunteer)
  3. Seniors’ Supports Navigation live in the community on Fridays and online always (aslcs.com: ‘Help!’)
  4. Sharing Seniors’ Stories: supporting reading and other learning at Nakusp Elementary School
  5. Excursions, social events, and celebrations such as today!
