Planning the unboxing video
The audience: Who is watching the video?
The recipient: Who is receiving the box? Why?
The sender: Who is sending the box? Why?
The setting: Where is the recipient opening the box? At what time?
The box: What does the box look like? What kind of packaging is there? Is there a message on it?
The contents: What items are in the box? Is there a note in the box? What is the significance?

The topic. What's the subject of the list? Where should the Top 10 things come from?
The criteria. What criteria will the students use to select what makes the list -- and how to rank them?
The selections. Pick the Top 10. What makes the list?
The introduction. The student should set the context of the video with a short introduction. Why is this an important topic? What does the viewer need to know about the subject before seeing the list to fully appreciate it?

The justification. As the student goes through the selections for the list, he/she should justify selections. Why does this one make the list? Why is it above or below other selections?
The missing selections. What didn't make the list? Why didn't it make the list?
The visuals. Will the student use props, images, etc. to show the viewer the selections?
The special. How will the student make this video special? Funny? Interesting? Visually stimulating?

What can students demonstrate in a tutorial video? (skill or a process)
Some tutorials lend themselves to camera videos. Others are better as screencast videos.
Tutorial videos could be great for skills in P.E. classes, in science labs, even in coding and computer science classes.
To be as clear as possible, students can describe what they're doing, what they're thinking, etc. They can also show what they're working on clearly to the camera.

Decide who the interviewer will be. Will they take the role of someone they're studying?
Decide who will be interviewed. Students? Play the part of fictional characters?
Decide the type of questions. One question asked to several people? Deeper interviews?
Example: An on the street interview video about the black death could show how people fear contracting the disease, who they know that is infected, what they've been told (or haven't been told), etc.

Shoot tour videos when you're on a field trip. Encourage students to emulate great travel vloggers.
If you aren't in a location, you can always pretend to be! Stage a room or area to look like a location.
Green screen videos superimpose an image or video as a background. These can turn a video in an ordinary classroom into a vivid experience!
Do a virtual walking tour with Google Maps Street View or Google Earth. Pick locations in Google Maps. Record it with a screen capture tool like Screencastify.
