Synopsis

  • Nowadays people are interest perfect fabrics and its quality.
  • For this quality checking is very important and man power requirement is high.
  • Manual error causes mistakes which leads to poor quality.
  • This project is to check the quality of fabrics automatically.
  • This project consists of camera, computer, level converter, embedded system, lamp controller, lamp, alarm driver, alarm, motor controller, motor, fabric feeder and power supply.

Process

  • Camera captures the sample feeder at first.
  • This image is given to the computer. Computer analyses the data from camera and give control signal to microcontroller through level converter.
  • The level converter is an interfacing unit between computer and embedded system.
  • When the control signal is received embedded system activates the motor controller and light controller.
  • Light controller controls the illumination of the lamp on top of the fabric. Motor controller controls the motor which moves the fabric feeder. Therefore next object to be tested comes under camera.
  • This data is given to computer and computer compares the new object data with the sample fabric data.
  • When there is no fault, the embedded system activates the motor controller to test another cloth.
  • When there is fault, the embedded system activates the alarm driver and deactivates motor controller. Alarm driver runs the alarm to indicate fault in the fabric.

WORKING

  • ADC0808, ADC0809 Analog to Digital converter is a successive approximation type analog to digital converter.
  • The successive approximation technique uses a very efficient code search strategy to complete n-bit conversion in just n-clock periods.

8 of 32

  • The ADC0808, 0809 data acquisition component is a monolithic CMOS device with an 8-bit analog-to-digital converter,
  • ADC0808 equivalent to MM74C949
  • ADC0809 equivalent to MM74C949-1
  • 8-channel multiplexer and microprocessor compatible control logic.
  • Easy interface to all microprocessors.
  • 0V to 5V input range with single 5V power supply

WORKING

  • A buzzer or beeper is an audio signaling device, which may be mechanical, electromechanical, or piezoelectric.
  • Typical uses of buzzers and beepers include alarm devices,
  • Timers and confirmation of user input such as a mouse click or keystroke.

  • A piezoelectric element may be driven by an oscillating electronic circuit or other audio signal source,
  • driven with a piezoelectric audio amplifier.
  • Sounds commonly used to indicate that a button has been pressed are a click, a ring or a beep.

CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

WORKING

  • The alarm driver circuit is enabled certain time duration only.
  • such enable pulse is depended by delay programming of microcontroller.
  • Here darling circuit has been two transistors made connection of cascade network.
  • If input is set to base of the first transistor, then that is turn on and emitter current of that turn the another one.

  • Hereby the circuit is closed through coil and second transistor,
  • Now the energized coil is controls the contactors that are change the normally open to close and normally closed to open connection.
  • The enabled signal is not essential after energized that coil because transistor collector current maintains the transistors in saturation state continuously.

WORKING

  • An RS-232 port was once a standard feature of a personal computer
  • for connections to modems, printers, mice, data storage, un-interruptible power supplies, and other peripheral devices.
  • The serial port transmits a '1' as -3 to -25 volts and a '0' as +3 to +25 volts.
  • Devices which use serial cables for their communication are split into two categories.

24 of 32

  • These are DCE (Data Communications Equipment) and DTE (Data Terminal Equipment.)
  • Data Communications Equipment are devices such as the modem, TA adapter, plotter etc ..
  • while Data Terminal Equipment is your Computer or Terminal.
