  • Don’t overshare and overpost
  • Find and evaluate the original source before you share
  • Be clear that you are sharing your views as an individual, not as a representative of the hotel

  • Be social. Twitter is about conversation, not monologue.
  • Don’t just follow people, engage them.
  • Have a sense of humor.
  • Refrain from flaming. Use your words to encourage and lift up rather than to tear down. Never underestimate the power of a tweet.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for a retweet when it’s really important. (This is best utilized when it’s to help out someone else.)
  • Don’t follow someone expecting him to follow you back. Follow because you’re interested in what the person has to say.

Twitter is a social networking website that allows people to communicate through quick, frequent messages of 280 characters or less. People write short updates called “Tweets”, that are posted to their profiles, and shared with their followers. Instagram is a social networking website, owned by Facebook, focused on showcasing photos and short videos. Key terms you will hear when using Instagram include, Like, Comment, Profile Picture and Story. Users can choose to follow users or business profiles.

Instagram isn’t the place for stock photos. In order for you to effectively tell your story, your images need to be visually appealing yes, but also authentic, original, and relatable.

Instagram Etiquette

  • Be real. Be authentic. Be you. Be original with your content.
  • Do use hashtags, but don't spam.
  • Don’t ask people to follow you back.
  • Social selling. Share or repost your hotel’s promo.
  • Don’t post too much
  • Ask for permission before reposting someone else’s photo
  • Don’t use someone else’s photo without tagging them. This essentially is the way that photographers are given credit on Instagram. Think of it as plagiarism if you fail to do this.
  • Never comment and ask for a follow. Instead, leave genuine comments that build community.

TikTok is a social media platform focused on short-form videos, owned by ByteDance. Key features include For You Page (FYP), Likes, Comments, Shares, and Sounds. Users can follow creators or brands to stay updated with their content.

TikTok isn’t about perfect or polished content what works best is authentic, creative, and relatable videos that connect quickly with the audience.

Pasal 45 ayat 1:

Setiap Orang yang dengan sengaja dan tanpa hak mendistribusikan dan/atau mentransmisikan dan/atau membuat dapat diaksesnya Informasi Elektronik dan/atau Dokumen Elektronik yang memiliki muatan yang melanggar kesusilaan sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 27 ayat (1) dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 6 (enam) tahun dan/atau denda paling banyak Rp1.000.000.000,00 (satu miliar rupiah).

Perjudian

Pasal 45 ayat 2:

Setiap Orang yang dengan sengaja dan tanpa hak mendistribusikan dan/atau mentransmisikan dan/atau membuat dapat diaksesnya Informasi Elektronik dan/atau Dokumen Elektronik yang memiliki muatan perjudian sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 27 ayat (2) dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 6 (enam) tahun dan/atau denda paling banyak Rp1.000.000.000,00 (satu miliar rupiah).

Penghinaan dan / atau pencemaran nama baik

Pasal 45 ayat 3:

Setiap Orang yang dengan sengaja dan tanpa hak mendistribusikan dan/atau mentransmisikan dan/atau membuat dapat diaksesnya Informasi Elektronik dan/atau Dokumen Elektronik yang memiliki muatan penghinaan dan/atau pencemaran nama baik sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 27 ayat (3) dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 4 (empat) tahun dan/atau denda paling banyak Rp750.000.000,00 (tujuh ratus lima puluh juta rupiah)

Pemerasan dan / atau pengancaman

Pasal 45 ayat 4:

Setiap Orang yang dengan sengaja dan tanpa hak mendistribusikan dan/atau mentransmisikan dan/atau membuat dapat diaksesnya Informasi Elektronik dan/atau Dokumen Elektronik yang memiliki muatan pemerasan dan/atau pengancaman sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 27 ayat (4) dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 6 (enam) tahun dan/atau denda paling banyak Rp1.000.000.000,00 (satu miliar rupiah).

Menyebarkan berita bohong dan menyesatkan yang mengakibatkan kerugian konsumen

Pasal 45A ayat 1:

Setiap Orang yang dengan sengaja dan tanpa hak menyebarkan berita bohong dan menyesatkan yang mengakibatkan kerugian konsumen dalam Transaksi Elektronik sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 28 ayat (1) dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 6 (enam) tahun dan/atau denda paling banyak Rp1.000.000.000,00 (satu miliar rupiah).

Menyebarkan kebencian atau permusuhan individu dan/atau kelompok masyarakat tertentu berdasarkan atas suku, agama, ras, dan antargolongan (SARA).

Pasal 45A ayat 2:

Setiap Orang yang dengan sengaja dan tanpa hak menyebarkan informasi yang ditujukan untuk menimbulkan rasa kebencian atau permusuhan individu dan/atau kelompok masyarakat tertentu berdasarkan atas suku, agama, ras, dan antargolongan (SARA) sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 28 ayat (2) dipidana dengan pidana penjara paling lama 6 (enam) tahun dan/atau denda paling banyak Rp1.000.000.000,00 (satu miliar rupiah).
