علاقه به خودمان

• Speaking of the great love which Jonathan had for his friend David, the Bible says, "The soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul" (I Samuel, chapter 18, verse 1).

​

• We all love our own soul, or self. Paul says in Ephesians, chapter 5, verse 29, "No man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the Church."�
• If we did not look after ourselves, and see that we had food and drink, we should soon die.

• کتاب مقدس از علاقۀ زیادی که یوناتان نسبت به دوستش داوود داشت می گوید: "در همان روز بعد از گفت‌وگوی شائول با داوود، یوناتان علاقه زیادی به داوود پیدا کرد، به حدّی که او را به اندازۀ جان خود، دوست می‌داشت" (اول سموئیل، باب 18، آیۀ 1).

​

• همۀ ما روح و جان خود را دوست داریم. پولس در افسسیان، باب 5، آیۀ 29 می گوید: "هیچکس هرگز از بدن خود متنفّر نبوده است بلكه به آن غذا می‌دهد و به آن توجّه می‌کند -‌ یعنی همان كاری كه مسیح برای كلیسا می‌ کند"

​

• اگر ما به خودمان توجه نکنیم که چه می خوریم و چه می نوشیم، خیلی زود می میریم.

Loving ourselves

انسان نمی خواست باور کند که خواهد مُرد

• But most of us love ourselves too much. Yes, we think much too much of ourselves.

​

• Perhaps this is why men have always found it hard to believe that they die and corrupt in the same way as the animals do.

​

• They have preferred to think that they will go on living somewhere after death.

• اما بسیاری از ما، به خودمان خیلی علاقمندیم. بله، ما خیلی به خودمان فکر می کنیم.

​

• احتمالاً به همین دلیل است که برای انسانها باور اینکه خواهند مرد و مانند حیوانات نابود خواهند شد بسیار سخت است.

​

• آنها تصور اینکه پس از مرگ به جای بهتری برای زندگی خواهند رفت را ترجیح می دهند.

Men don’t want to believe that they will die

دروغِ مار

• The serpent said to Adam and Eve, "Ye shall not surely die" (Genesis, chapter 3, verse 4).

​

• This was a lie, yet Eve chose to believe it rather than to believe what God had said.

​

• And men have always chosen to believe the serpent´s lie, and to make up all sorts of stories of what happens at death, rather than to believe God´s words:

​

• "Dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return" (Genesis, chapter 3, verse 19).

• مار به آدم و حوا گفت: "مطمئناً نخواهید مُرد!" (پیدایش، باب 3، آیۀ 4).

​

• این یک دروغ بود اما حوا ترجیح داد این را باور کند تا اینکه به چیزی که خدا گفته بود اعتماد کند.

​

• و بشر همیشه باور کردن دروغ مار را انتخاب کرده، و داستانهای بسیاری دربارۀ مرگ ساخته، بجای اینکه کلام خدا را باور کند:

​

• "تو از خاک سرشته شدی و به خاک هم برخواهی گشت" (پیدایش باب 3، آیۀ 19).

The serpent´s lie

مانند حیوانات که نابود می شوند

• Yet the teaching of the Bible is quite plain.

​

• Turn to Ecclesiastes, chapter 3, and read the 19th verse, "For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast."

​

• When you see the body of a dead animal, you do not imagine that the most important part of that animal has gone to live in the heavens. You know that all that is left of the creature that lived and breathed and moved - however beautiful it may have been - is a dead body.

• تعلیمات کتاب مقدس، بسیار ساده و شفاف است.

​

• به جامعه، باب 3، بروید و آیۀ 19 را بخوانید، "از این گذشته، عاقبت انسان و حیوان یکی است، هر دو جان می‌دهند و می‌میرند؛ پس انسان هیچ برتری بر حیوان ندارد. همه ‌چیز بیهودگی است"

​

• زمانیکه شما جسد حیوانی مرده را می بینید، تصور نمی کنید که مهمترین قسمت از آن حیوان، به آسمانها رفته است. شما می دانید این مخلوقی که روزی زندگی می کرد و نفس می کشید، هر چقدر هم که زیبا بوده، اکنون تنها یک جسم بی جان است.

Like the beasts that perish

مانند گسفندی در قبر

And it is exactly the same with men. When they die, all that is left is a lifeless body. Did you notice verse 12 of Psalm 49, which says,

​

"Man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.“

​

Like the beasts? Yes, the writer leaves us in no doubt about it, for he continues in verse 14, "Like sheep they are laid in the grave."

​

• و این دقیقاً مشابه با سرنوشت انسان است. وقتی که انسانها می میرند، تمام چیزی که از خود به جا می گذارند، جسم بی جانشان است. به آیۀ 12 از مزمور 49 دقت کردید که گفت:

​

• "لیکن انسان در حرمت باقی نمی ماند، بلکه مثل بهایم (حیوانات) است که هلاک می‌شود"

​

• مانند حیوانات؟ بله، نویسنده در این باره برای ما هیچ شکی بجا نگذاشته است، چنانکه در ادامه در آیۀ 14 می گوید: "آنها گوسفندانی هستند که بسوی هلاکت پیش می‌روند."

Like sheep in the grave

یک تصور اشتباه�- روح جاودان

• Many people believe that, when we die, there is some spark of life in us that goes on living. They think men have an "immortal soul" which will live for ever in heaven.

​

• But souls are not "immortal".

​

• Through the prophet Ezekiel, God says, "Behold, all souls are Mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son in Mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die" (Ezekiel, chapter 18, verse 4).

• بسیاری از مردم باور دارند که هنگام مرگ بخشی از آنها به زندگی ادامه می دهد. آنها فکر می کنند که انسان یک "روح جاودان" دارد که تا ابد در آسمان زندگی خواهد کرد.

​

• اما روح ها "جاودان" نیستند.

​

• خدا بوسیلۀ حزقیال نبی می گوید: "جان (روح) همه به من تعلّق دارد، پدر و پسر هر دو به من تعلّق دارند. تنها، کسی‌که گناه ورزد، خواهد مرد." (حزقیال، باب 18، آیۀ 4).

A wrong idea

- The immortal soul

مرگ – انتهای ذهن

• We have seen what the Bible means when it speaks of death. It means a complete end of life, so that body and mind decay, and return to dust.

​

• دیدیم که منظور کتاب مقدس دربارۀ مرگ چیست. منظور آن، تمام شدن زندگی بطور کلی است، پس ذهن و جسم تباه شده و به خاک باز می گردد.

​

روزنه ای از امید

• Perhaps you feel like shutting the Bible, and throwing this paper away. But wait a little while. The Bible is the Word of God, and what it says is true. We should be very foolish if we refused to believe the truth, just because it isn´t very pleasant.
• The same Bible that teaches that death is real, tells us also that there is a hope beyond the grave - the hope of resurrection. The Lord Jesus was restored to life by a bodily resurrection; and the day will come when those who belong to Christ will be brought forth from the grave as He was.

​

• But this is the subject of another lesson!

• احتمالاً شما احساس کنید که می خواهید کتاب مقدس را ببندید، یا این صفحه را دور بیاندازید. اما کمی صبر کنید. کتاب مقدس، کلام خداست، و هر چه می گوید حقیقت است. باید خیلی نادان باشیم که از باور حقیقت امتناع کنیم، تنها به این دلیل که آن برای ما چندان خوش آیند نیست.

​

• همان کتاب مقدس که به ما حقیقت مرگ را می آموزد، به ما از امیدی فراتر از قبر خبر می دهد: امید به رستاخیز. عیسی مسیح، با قیام کردن از مردگان، با همان جسم، به زندگی بازگشت. و روزی می آید که کسانیکه به مسیح ایمان آوردند و متعلق به او هستند، همانند او از قبر بلند کرده خواهند شد.

• اما این موضوع یک درس دیگر است!

A gleam of hope

جهنم کجاست؟

• The Bible tells us, "The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord´s: but the earth hath He given to the children of men" (Psalm 115, verse 16).

​

• We know that heaven is the dwelling place of God. And we know that God created the earth as a home for men.

​

• But what about hell? Where is it, and who live there? We have already seen that when a man is dead he return to the dust of the ground.

​

• He can no longer think or feel - he has no more life that an insect that you have crushed between your fingers.

• کتاب مقدس به ما می گوید: "آسمانها از آن خداوند می‌باشند، ولی او زمین را به انسان بخشید" (مزمور 115، آیۀ 16).

​

• می دانیم که آسمان منزلگاه خداست و او زمین را به عنوان خانه ای برای انسانها خلق کرده است.

​

• اما جهنم چه؟ کجاست، و چه کسانی در آن زندگی می کنند؟ پیش از این می دانستیم که وقتی انسان می میرد، به خاک زمین برمی گردد.

​

• او دیگر نمی تواند فکر یا احساس کند. او مانند حشره ای که در میان انگشتانتان له شده، هیچ حیاتی ندارد.

Hell - where is it?

شیئول در عهد عتیق

• Some people have thought that the wicked are sent to a place of punishment when they die, and that this place is called "hell". But let us see what the Bible says about it.

​

• The Old Testament was first written in the Hebrew language, and afterwards translated into English. The Hebrew word "sheol" mean "a covered place" - and that is the word which has been translated "hell" 31 times.

​

• The covered place referred to is the grave; and it is interesting to note that the translators have actually put "grave" for "sheol" 31 times, too. Hell and the grave are one and the same place.

• بعضی از مردم تصور می کنند که افراد گناهکار و شریر، وقتی می میرند، برای مجازات به مکانی فرستاده می شوند که "جهنم" نام دارد. اما اجازه بدهید ببینیم کتاب مقدس در این مورد چه می گوید.

​

• عهد عتیق اولین بار به زبان عبری نوشته شده و پس از آن به انگلیسی ترجمه شد. کلمۀ عبری " شیئول" به معنی "مکانی سرپوشیده" است و این همان کلمه ای است که 31 بار به نام "جهنم (hell)" ترجمه شده است.

​

• مکان سرپوشیده به معنی قبر است، و جالب اینکه مترجم نیز 31 بار دقیقاً کلمۀ "قبر" را برای ترجمۀ کلمۀ " شیئول" قرار داده است. جهنم (hell) و قبر (grave) یک کلمه و یک مکان هستند.

Sheol in the Old Testament

عالم اموات در عهد جدید

• Just as the Old Testament was first written in Hebrew, so the New Testament was first written in the Greek language. One Greek word for "hell" is "hades", and it means exactly the same as "sheol" in the Hebrew.

​

• Thus we read of Jesus that, "Thou wilt not leave My soul in hell..." (Acts, chapter 2, verse 27).

​

• Jesus went to hell (hades) - in other words, the grave - but He was not left there. He was raised from the dead.

• همانطور که عهد عتیق اولین بار به زبان عبری نوشته شد، عهد جدید نیز اولین بار به زبان یونانی نوشته شد. "عالم اموات (hades)" یک کلمۀ یونانی برای "جهنم (hell)" است، و این دقیقاً معنی کلمۀ عبری "شیئول (sheol)" است.

​

• چنانکه دربارۀ عیسی می خوانیم: "زیرا که نفس مرا در عالم اموات نخواهی گذاشت..." (اعمال، باب 2، آیۀ 27).

​

• عیسی به عالم اموات - به عبارت دیگر (قبر) رفت، اما در آنجا باقی نماند. او از مردگان برخاست.

​

Hades in the New Testament

اما پس آتش جهنم چیست؟

• In Mark, chapter 9, we read, "It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never be quenched" (verse 43).

​

• There is another Greek word for "hell" in verse like this: "Gehenna".

​

• Gehenna is the name of a valley just outside Jerusalem - a place which would be well known to the Jews who listened to Jesus. It was the place where the rubbish from the city was burned.

• در مرقس باب 9 می خوانیم: "پس هرگاه دستت تو را بلغزاند، آن را بِبُر زیرا تو را بهتر است که شَل داخل حیات شوی، از اینکه با دو دست وارد جهنم گردی، در آتشی که خاموشی نپذیرد" (آیۀ 43).

​

• کلمۀ دیگری در زبان یونانی برای "جهنم" در چنین آیه ای هست که "جِهِنّا" نام دارد.

​

• جِهِنّا نام مکانی خارج از اورشلیم است. مکانی که برای یهودیان، بسیار شناخته شده بود. این مکان جایی بود که زباله های شهر را در آن می سوزاندند.

But what about hell fire?

جِهِنّا – دَرّه آتش

​

In times of siege and war, the bodies of the dead were also flung into Gehenna to be burned. It was a place of destruction; and so to "cast into Gehenna" meant to destroy utterly.

​

Jesus was warning men to cut from their lives those things that tended to lead them away from God, and so avoid the complete destruction of everlasting death.

• در زمان محاصره و جنگ، اجساد مردگان نیز برای سوزانده شدن به جِهِنّا انداخته می شد. این مکانی ویران بود، بنابراین "در جهنم (جِهِنّا) افکندن" به معنی بطور کلی نابود کردن می باشد.

​

• عیسی انسانها را از جدا شدن از هر چیز زنده ای که آنها را از خدا دور می کند، آگاه کرده است تا آنها را از مرگ ابدی دور کند.

​

Gehenna – the valley of fire

خلاصه

1. The Bible teaches that men, when they die, perish and corrupt like animals.

​

2. The Bible gives us no hope of going to heaven.

​

3. When Jesus comes back to this earth, He will bring to life those who believe on Him.

​

4. Sheol Hades is the grave.

​

​

5. Gehenna is valley outside Jerusalem.

1. کتاب مقدس می آموزد که انسان پس از مرگ نابود می شود و جسمش مانند حیوانات، فاسد می گردد.

​

2. کتاب مقدس به ما هیچ وعده ای دربارۀ رفتن به بهشت نمی دهد.

​

3. وقتی عیسی به زمین بازگردد، به کسانی که به او ایمان دارند، حیات می بخشد.

​

4. شیئول و عالم اموات همان قبر است.

​

5. جِهِنّا دَرّه ای خارج از اورشلیم است.
