ARMED FORCES VOCATIONAL APTITUDE BATTERY
(Offered at RHHS in the Fall and Spring)
The ASVAB is not only a multiple-choice test that measures your knowledge and ability in a variety of areas. This test helps determine which military specialty is the best fit for you.
However, it is not just helpful for military-bound students. The ASVAB Career Exploration Program is a great tool for students who aren't sure of their plans after high school. The program synthesizes ASVAB scores and interest inventory scores to develop a list of possible careers tailored to each student's knowledge, abilities, and interests.

Accuplacer
ACCUPLACER tests ensure you get placed in technical/community college classes that are right for you so you don’t waste time or money taking courses you don’t need. Shows demonstrated proficiency in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.

SAT/ACT
The SAT and ACT are college entrance exams that many colleges and universities use to make admissions decisions. Scores can also help students qualify for scholarships and programs.

Take Action- Continue executing your plans for after high school: create/update resume, apply to college/trade school, speak to a recruiter, etc.
Military:
*RHHS hosts recruiters from all branches during lunches.
*Speak with your counselor for specific recruiter contact info.
*Sign-up for the ASVAB – it is offered Fall and Spring Semester.
*Selective Service: 18-year-old males must comply to receive any state
funding/scholarships.

Finish Strong- Maintain your attendance, monitor your grades, and stay off of the obligations list to ensure a smooth path toward your final semester of high school.
