Day 1

This is the first day of the dawn raids. They are terrible things that happen to polynesian and pacific people, where the police demand rights and any evidence to be there if they fail to show anything or it is expired they go to jail. I think it is very unfair.

This is the second day of the dawn raids lots of people are getting taken away and boarding schools are becoming essential. The dawn raids are getting worse and worse. I really hope I don’t get taken away to boarding school.

Every day I lie waiting for the police to come demanding evidence. The houses get emptier and emptier. The schools become bigger and bigger.The jail becomes bigger and bigger. I long and long for my parents not to be taken.

The panthers are trying their hardest but it only gets worse and worse. Finally when I think the police are coming to the door they make a sharp turn and head to the neighbours… and take the whole family!
