FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I am not an expert in SEL work. Can I participate this project?

YES! We welcome the participation of any full-time K-5 classroom teachers who teach a single group of students at a school that is enrolled in the SELOC-E project. We would love to learn with you whether you are expert in SEL or new to the field!

My school is not enrolled in the SELOC-E project. Can I participate?

Unfortunately, we cannot enroll individual teachers. We are enrolling school teams that include an SEL school leader and 4-6 classroom teachers.

How will joining this project benefit me as an educator?

The SELOC-E is designed to provide teachers with useful feedback about their SE teaching practices. Working with your SEL leader to host SELOC-E observations can serve as a growth opportunity for teachers who want to reflect on how they support student SEL.
