In 2017 the Dynamic Learning Project became a part of McGuffey School District

The Dynamic Learning Project helps school systems build and strengthen instructional technology coaching programs. It enables coaches to provide every teacher with the hands-on support they need to meet system-wide initiatives and bring digital skills to life for each student.

McGuffey School District

is the only district in Washington County participating in this initiative

Coaching is a non-evaluative and voluntary partnership

• The McGuffey Middle School participated in a coaching process for year one and year two.

​

• Teachers volunteered for cycles which corresponded with the four nine weeks in a school year.

​

• Every teacher in the middle school participated in the Dynamic Learning Project coaching program either formally or informally.

In 2019 McGuffey not only continued the DLP program but expanded it to reach all of our schools K-12.

In September 2019, 66 teachers from all buildings and grade levels volunteered for formal coaching.

​

Coaching During the COVID-19 Closure

• 130 Coaching Interactions with 60+ staff members via email/text
• Created 52 Video Tutorials
• Attended 35 Department/Grade Level/Building Meetings
• 125 Staff members are currently participating in the online DLP Google Classroom to learn new about new strategies and techniques for remote learning
• Office Hours daily give teachers an opportunity for voluntary coaching experiences
• #LunchOnLine gives teachers a weekly PD opportunity with guests from around the area and around the country
