Reading Options

  • Pick 1 option or create your best combo!
  • Complete 40 book challenge.
    • The purpose of the Challenge is to get students reading different types of books and to instill a love for reading. Students will choose what they read, which will help them stay interested and focused. Research has proven that reading voraciously from a variety of genres is the best way to improve ourselves as readers because it expands our reading experiences.
    • The books students read will be their choice. We want students to stretch themselves as readers by trying out different genres, but books should not be so hard for them that they struggle to understand or enjoy reading. Books may be from the school library, classroom library, public library, or from home. Grown ups can also read books to younger children.
  • Enjoy and record 40 completely free choice reading sessions, at least 15 minutes per session. *Caregivers can read with younger children.
  • Record here
  • Recommended Reading Lists: Mensa K-3 / Mensa 4-6 / Texas Bluebonnet
