What am I working towards?

  • CTE Pathways (certifications)
    • Wake Tech offers MANY CTE pathways through the CCP program
    • These courses typically do not transfer to a 4 year institution.
    • These courses typically are weighted like academic level courses on a student’s high school GPA.
    • Some courses are only offered face-to-face on certain campuses because they are so hands-on (welding, HVAC, etc)
    • Some CTE pathways only start the fall semester.
  • See all CTE PATHWAYS - https://www.waketech.edu/career-and-college-promise/cte

What am I working towards?

  • College Transfer Pathway
    • Wake Tech offers SIX College Transfer Pathways
    • It is typically NOT a one-to-one transfer of the college course and a high school course
      • For example, there is no CCP course for Earth/Environmental Science or Economics & Personal Finance
      • For example, students must take THREE college courses to equal ONE English high school graduation requirement
      • Review NCDPI’s dual credit allowance chart for details
      • Student should consult with their school counselor regarding best fit for utilizing CCP for graduation requirements.
      • View the 6 College Transfer Pathways here - https://www.waketech.edu/career-and-college-promise/college-transfer

How does it work?

  • All NC community colleges are associated with CCP. Wake Tech is the closest and most popular for Heritage HS students.
  • It all begins with an info session video and review of websites.

The info session VIDEO is where it begins

  • View info session and get the details of options and next steps. CCP Online Information Session
  • Complete required application for the community college.
  • Check email for further instructions from Wake Tech.
  • Wait for the time to choose courses.
    • Consider the HHS bell schedule & travel time.

  • Do well.
  • Finish and start again.
