YOUR PLANNER IS ONLY AS HELPFUL AS HOW YOU USE IT.

  • Check it often. Set aside some time to review your planner each day.

USE CHECKBOXES OR CROSS OFF COMPLETED ITEMS.

Once you’re home & finish the assignments, check the box or cross them out! Doesn’t that feel good to see!?!?

COPY UNFINISHED TASKS.

Rewrite and transfer over incomplete tasks to the next day.

  • We get a new reminder.
  • It is clear that we have been putting it off or aren’t prioritizing the task.
    • We can then ask, “Is it important?” or “Do I need to break the task down into more manageable chunks?”

MAKE TASKS CONCRETE

It’ll be more helpful when you are writing things concretely.

“Do history group project”

“Complete 5 slides for presentation re: the Cold War- Introduction, Timeline, etc.”
