Family Visits Start After First Four Weeks of School

Please speak to your child about the first day and that you will not be bringing them to class.

Our Poquonock Family loves family visits and we will have many opportunities for volunteering and getting involved throughout the school year starting after the first four weeks of school. Until then we ask that you allow your child to learn their school routine and leave them with our amazing staff at the school door if you are dropping off. Our caring staff is here to help your child feel comfortable and welcome.

What can I do to support my child's success?

Here are some suggestions:

  • Talk about school

  • Get a good night’s sleep

  • Communicate concerns and questions to the teacher by email or by leaving a message

  • Read with your child daily and review what they are working on in school.

  • Support your child by guiding them through work that may be tricky. Help them to find the answer. Giving the answer will make it harder for them to be independent.
