Listen to song #1 mindfully:

Moon River

(remember, without judgement - just the facts!)

Don’t Slack

By Anderson .Paak & Justin Timberlake

6 of 12

Jot down what you noticed about song #1:

Is your heart beating slow, fast, or “normal”?

What feelings are you having? (Happy, relaxed, angry, energized, etc.)

What kinds of sounds did you hear in the song?

Is the music fast or slow?

Were there words in the song? Did they rhyme? Were they sung softly or loud?

Have you ever heard this song before?

If either one of the songs made you feel calm/relaxed/happy...

You can listen to it whenever you feel sad, worried, or frustrated!

A few more tips:

Make a playlist of “happy”

songs that you can listen to

to cheer you up if you’re sad

Start mindfully listening

to music you love

Try listening to music with a fast tempo to energize!

Think about your favorite song: What about this song makes it so great?
