What is EDGE?
The model emphasizes authentic learning experiences that bridge high school and higher education.
An innovative, four-semester interdisciplinary learning experience designed around project-based, real-world problem solving
High school juniors and seniors complete the Texas Core Curriculum. Courses combine coursework in math, science, arts, humanities, and social sciences.
Project-based learning, helps students discover their academic interests, strengths, and potential career pathways.

Philosophy of Project-Based Learning (PBL)
At its core, EDGE is grounded in Project-Based Learning, a pedagogy in which students engage in sustained inquiry to solve complex, authentic problems.
Faculty design interconnected, universal themes that drive interdisciplinary projects, ensuring that course content across multiple subjects contributes meaningfully to a shared outcome.

Program Structure
Starting with the Class of 2028, the Collin EDGE Program will accept a maximum of 100 students.
Participants will progress through the program in cohorts each semester, following a structured, four-semester pathway designed to complete the 42-hour Texas Core Curriculum. (44 total earned)
Each cohort advances together on a predetermined schedule, fostering collaboration, consistency, and a strong sense of community as students move through their college-level coursework.
