I actively look for situations to make a difference, both in educational and work environments.

I decided to do Praxis for one reason: I wasn’t getting my hands dirty in college. I was accepted into the Honors College at Kennesaw State University. Within the Honors College, I was in a program called the President’s Emerging Global Scholars (PEGS) focused on globalization and getting students prestigious scholarships like the Truman. I was in the top 80 of 35,000 students - that’s the top .003%. But I was still taking general education courses like everyone else learning theories that I knew didn’t apply. I applied to Praxis in order to work with companies like yours to really get my hands dirty and make a tangible difference.

You can see what I have done with BASE Innovations and BASE Lightning already. I was promoted to management within my first month at BASE Lightning and my email marketing campaign got them an offer to be featured in a magazine. With BASE Innovations I have been busy redesigning their website and creating a database for their sales team. I have watched for opportunities in both companies and took full advantage of them. Now I’m ready to do that for you.

Database Design

I designed a database for BASE Innovations, a roofing manufacturer representative, so that they could have all of the stores that sell their products in one place with all of the information they need to push sales. This helps the company when they send people to the physical stores to find addresses, call to let the stores know they are coming, or email just to check in. The link provided is a tutorial I built on how to build a database similar to theirs so that you can also use the database I designed.

I also designed a database for BASE Lightning Protection that put their billboard online. This way it can be accessed by the entire company via Access or emailed in an Excel format. The physical bid board is too small, and it can only be in one place at a time. The digital version was a much-needed improvement.
