“obVErsed”
ObVersed is a site-specific interactive installation where a pair of optical eyes awaken with motion. The piece explores our relationship with public space, presence, and mutual awareness.
It highlights the duality of experience: you are not only the observer but also become the object of observation. The illusion of the gaze disrupts the conventional understanding of eye contact, making it multilayered and interactive. The boundary between subject and object dissolves, creating a new form of connection between the individual and the space they inhabit.
This art installation is built on a play of perception, using the moiré effect to create animation and a sense of living contact. The optical illusion makes the eyes follow every movement, triggering a moment of unexpected realization: who is truly observing? At this moment, the viewer becomes part of the artwork, engaged in an invisible yet tangible dialogue.

iana Konopatova — iKona
spatial artist working at the intersection of spatial art and interactive design. Born on the Northern Kuril Islands, off the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Russia, she developed her creative path and career in Moscow and is now based in Berlin. Her projects explore the perception of space, movement, and light, creating new ways for the viewer to interact with the visual environment.
"For me, it is important to be an author and thinker who does not seek ready-made answers but constantly creates new forms. This can manifest in various forms of content—exhibitions, displays, installations. The main thing is that it is always something new, giving me the opportunity to reflect on the experience and understand something more. The diversity of forms is important."
Using technological and artistic techniques, she creates hybrid objects and environments where the boundaries between static and dynamic, material and digital are blurred, transforming space into an interactive environment that responds to the presence of the viewer. Additionally, iKona actively incorporates elements of optical illusions, exploring how the physical world can be perceived in different ways, creating unique visual effects that play with the viewer's perception.
In addition to her work in spatial art, iKona has over a decade of experience in show business as a creative artist. Her practice is an experiment with any space—from a stage in the forest to an ice show at a sports stadium. In Berlin, she continues her work by implementing both commercial and non-commercial projects. iKona participates in art and music festivals, raves, organizes gallery exhibitions, and actively engages in volunteer projects supporting migrants.

iKona is open to collaboration and experimentation, striving to push the boundaries of visual art and interactive design.
