Our journey

iknowa was founded in 2019, by Allar Klein (Estonia) & Keano Chang (UK).

1. In 2021, we received investment and were selected as one of Europe’s TOP 30 early start-ups by Google (out of 800 considered).

2. In 2022, iknowa was highlighted as one of the leading startups within the European property & construction technology sector.

3. 2023 iknowa was selected for the Geovation program (in collaboration with HM Land Registry and Ordnance Survey). Providing iknowa real-time access to the government’s property database and collaboration from; Ordnance Survey & HM Land Registry technical teams to advise on the development for the Know Your Property service.

Alerting existing & newly upskilled trade contractors, to new jobs-raised by property owners. If upskilled, trade contractors are required to complete a minimum of 3 jobs on iknowa within the first year.

FCA regulated to hold & distribute electronic money. Proving a capability to; 1) Create European & UK E-Money Accounts - mapped to projects. 2) Make Dynamic split payments - in projects for service providers.

Strategic Partnerships

A new bank, focused on retrofit mortgages. To date we have signed a 3 year and £165 million contract. Pilots start in July with the first jobs to kick-off in Aug/ Sept 2023 (iknowa service fee ca. £11 million)

Access to government’s property (real-time) database, as well as HM Land Registry & Ordnance Survey technical teams to assist us on developing the KYP concept in more detail. We are part of a national Geovation programme.

We have partnered with CTSI, to establish the first tech-enabled consumer code. This allows us to earn up to £700 annually for each upskilled trade. We currently use our partner HIES, earning £165 annual commission per upskilled trade. Each trade must obtain a consumer code in order to provide renewable installation services.

Providing nationwide upskilling courses, generating revenues ca. £200 per learner.
