  1. Test for proficiency with a dictation. Use cloze test (fill-in-the-blanks) for scaffolding (C1).
  2. Students correct after the exercise with an answer key.
  3. Then they read it silently, ask a few multiple choice questions to check for understanding (C2) and summarize in writing (C3).
  4. For homework, students aloud alone, recorded.
  5. Listen to the recording and check for errors in speech. Use those errors in pronunciation as your point of reference for C1.
  6. Use results from C2 to gauge comprehension.
  7. Use written summary to check for errors in C3.
