The leader sets the evidence book up and follows the structure of the example

The leader Introduces the learning intention and success criteria for the lesson. “Today we are all going to read pages ___”.

predictor makes a prediction about what they are going to read. They use the chapter heading, sub headings, labelled diagrams and prior content knowledge to predict what the text might be about. They record those predictions using the prompt card to guide their recordings.

The leader then selects the order of the group members to read aloud everyone else listens and follows with their eyes.

The questioner and clarifier work throughout the story.

Clarifier writes down any unknown words or phrases from the team. Create discussions for the group to deepen their understanding of the text.

Questioner thinks about questions that will get everyone thinking more about the meaning of the text.

The Summarizer uses all the main ideas into one and summarises the story verbally before writing it down checking in with the group to see if anyone has anything to add

Predictor confirms or rejects their prediction and uses evidence from the story to support their decision.

Group then prepares to share back their findings for today and something they have learnt.
