Your kupuhipa needs at least eight characters.

Choose a phrase that is meaningful to you. This will help you to remember your password.

For example:

  • a line from a song or waiata
  • a phrase or quote from a story
  • a whakataukī

  1. Highlight the first letter of each word in your phrase to create your kupuhipa.
  2. Can you change any of the letters to a number or symbol?
  3. Can you include a combination of upper and lowercase letters?

Create Your Strong Password | Kupuhipa

Using the instructions above create a new kupuhipa ensuring it meets the criteria:

  • 8 characters long
  • A mix of letters, numbers and symbols
  • A mix of capital and lower letters

Remember this password should not be written down.

How to Sign Out of Your Account

  1. Open your email and scroll to the end of the page.
  2. On the right look for the words "Last account activity"

Click "Details"

  • In the pop up click the button

"Sign out all other web sessions"

If you suspect your account is open on another computer you can sign out from your email.

Your IP Address

Location (IP address) - The last 10 IP addresses your mail was accessed from, and the associated locations.

An IP address is the unique addresses of computers that are connected to the internet. Each number in IP address contains some specific information about the computer.

If you got a warning about suspicious activity in your account, you might also see up to 3 additional IP addresses that have been labeled as suspicious.
