    • Your data is protected
    • No NetID-linked chat history is visible to others
    • Data stays within Duke infrastructure (for on-prem models)
    • No external account required
    • Ideal for academic use and experimentation

Responsible Use Reminders

    • Avoid entering Protected Health Information (PHI) into AI systems
    • Cite and encourage the citation of AI-generated work when appropriate
    • Understand its limitations (bias, hallucination)
    • Use as a thinking partner, not a replacement for a human being

How to Get Started with DukeGPT

    • Visit https://chat.ai.duke.edu/
    • The first time you access DukeGPT, you will be prompted to sign in to Open WebUI
    • Click the “Continue with Duke University OpenID Connect” button
    • Login with your NetID
    • NOTE: Your first time logging in, you will need to wait 1-5 minutes for your account to be provisioned
    • Choose a model (or stay in default model)
    • Click New Chat (top left), type in center box, and start chatting!
