A “pump” mainly consists of 3 important parts: The pump part (a more or less indestructible stainless steel housing), an electric motor and a mechanical seal. The by far most expensive part is the pump part. In my whole brewing career I have only seen 2 things that could get broken: The electric motor and the mechanical seal.
The mechanical seal mainly gets broken when the pump runs dry too often.
You can get a new electric motor from an electric motor company. A mechanical seal can be ordered from aliexpress.com. Hint: Use Food grade grease to put the mechanical seal on.
