God made all sorts of wild animals, livestock, and small animals, each able to produce offspring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.

Why did God Make Animals?

  • A job for man to do (Genesis 2:19)
  • A resource for man (Genesis 1:26)
  • For food (Genesis 3 onward)
  • For sacrifice as a foreshadowing of the Lamb of God (Genesis 3 onward)
  • For companionship
  • For inspiration and teaching
  • For a balanced and healthy ecosystem

Why are Humans the Climax of God’s Creation ?

  • Everything created up to this point has been for the benefit of man.
  • We were made in the image of God (a pedigree).
  • We were given an assignment.
  • We were given a position.
  • We were given (on loan) two of God’s attributes, neshama and ruach, animals only have ruach.
