Lesson Plan for 4.2.7 Impact on Environment
Lesson Objective: Students will explore a science topic of their choice through virtual field trips and resources
Engage: Check In and Connect with Students. Movement break (optional).
I Do: Engage students with a which is which - identifying the renewable and nonrenewable resources with the photograph. Then tell kids we will be doing a choose your own adventure today.
We Do: Students use the provided links to explore a coal, solar power, hydropower and how we can make an impact by reducing, reducing and recycling. Students with their own electronic devices can do this independently, and classes with only one device can vote and decide what to explore together.
You Do: The last few minutes of class, provide students with an opportunity to share their favorite discovery from today’s explorations.
Assessment: Student sharing new information learned from today’s explorations.
