CURRICULUM
* Monday – Thursday (8:30-9:30)
* Start date/schedules TBD.
* Different schedules will be determined by each child’s needs.
What is it?
* Homogeneous Grouping based on multiple assessments by the teachers.
* The instruction, pacing, and activities are differentiated to meet the needs of each group.
* Fluid and flexible based on in class performance.
* Literably- reading assessments given in August/September
* LLI groups
* Talker’s Club - weekly (graded on report card)
* Writing-making books, keep a diary, special notebook
* Read at least 20 minutes a day. (Includes being read to)
* Practice math facts
*Provide opportunities for independence and responsibility
* PLAY!
*This is a great time to learn to tie shoes!
* Weekly topic (presentation day same day all year)
* Satisfies state standards for listening and speaking. It is on the report card.
* Topics will be assigned at the start of each month, program will begin next week.
* Child must practice at home multiple times to help increase their confidence
TALKER’S CLUB
* Each child is our Star for one week

* Monday: Make a collage, Google slides or show photos they are proud of.
* Tuesday: Star Student talent (can be performed live or on video)
* Thursday: Start Student Video or letter from parents to share with the class.
* Friday: Bring a favorite book for me to read to the class!

**Trimester 1- Progress check in held in October.
Report cards given in November.
Trimester 2- Conferences held in March
Report cards given in March
Trimester 3- No conferences
Report cards sent home on the last day of school.
* The purpose of the report card is to determine if the standards have been met.
* Scores are based on the end of the year standards.
