Character Connections

  1. Take out your character sheet. In your SSW books, write down how the different characters are connected to each other. Think about all the characters you have met.
  2. Share your list.
  3. Create a poster, like the example, with the powwow at the center and the characters on the outside.
  4. Put your group’s character connections on the poster using a marker. When you draw the line to connect characters, be sure to write above the line how they are connected. You may add a character (Harvey Black for example) to show connections between characters.

Revise Character Posters

  1. Review your reading and notes. Individually, in your SSW books, write down new characters and connections you think should be added to the poster.
  2. Discuss as a group and make the necessary changes. Then add predictions in a new post-it color.
  3. Gallery Walk (no more than 5 people at a table group at a time). Look for anything you might want to add to your own posters.
  4. Revise your posters one more time
