Last year we planted 10 spruce tree seedlings in our school surroundings.

A local expert in agronomy taught us how to plant a spruce tree seedling in the right way and then each class in our school planted one. We enjoyed it a lot!

Last year we visited the National Botanical Gardean in our capital city Zagreb. We saw many, many different types of plants and learned a lot about them.

BATTERY RECYCLING

Last school year our school was awarded for its participation in the action “ Big-little hunters” after managing to collect and recycle 317 kg of batteries.”Big-little hunters” is an action to raise awareness among students about battery recycling.

It aims to systematically train children in an interactive way, to guide them in the conscientious collection of used batteries in the AFIS bins.

The whole family can participate in this action, collecting all the used batteries in a special place at home, before they end up in the school's AFIS Bin.

PLASTIC CAPS FOR A WHEELCHAIR

Our school also participated in the action to collect and recycle plastic caps.

Students and parents collected plastic caps in a specific bin made by students of the school.After the plastic caps are collected and delivered to the recycling factory, they are weighed there and after they tell us the balance, the organisation “ Love for Life” “ΑΓΑΠΗ ΓΙΑ ΤΗ ΖΩΗ ” is obliged to issue an invoice for recycling and after the invoice is sent, they deposit the price of these into the organisation's account.

The benefits of this action are many and important. Both us and our students become conscious of recycling, both in plastic caps and in other objects, with the result that on the one hand we protect the environment and on the other hand we offer with the price of the recyclable plastic caps a wheelchair wherever we are asked.

With the price of plastic caps we can offer a simple type wheelchair, a hospital wheelchair.
