Preparation of mammal teaching specimen with a stick handle

  • The specimen is skinned normally
  • A Styrofoam block is used for body, shaped with knife, rasp & sandpaper
  • Legs and tail are affixed with wires that can be inserted into the body as with a taxidermy specimens
  • Tail wire is glued into the groove where the stick handle inserts using hot glue.
