Professionalizing the role of IDs - How do you show the value of what an ID can do for an institution?

“Conclave” meets once a month from Educause - ongoing Google Doc - goes through issues / recommendations that IDs face (70-80 designers that log in)

Our twitter chat challenge - reaching out to more people (topics were selected from the needs assessment we conducted) in addition to IDLE session topics�

Noting what IDs think, but also making sure that faculty are engaged as well�

Perhaps a monthly “check-in” where IDs can discuss challenges that would better suited off of twitter�

QM IDA podcast - “call in” Google Voice number where we could pre-select what we would talk about�

Book Club is a great idea, but it was hard to get it rolling due to the time commitment - how do we have people communicate? (capacity issues?) - Bookclub Committee

Could contact the author and see if they could answer questions / perhaps provide a session for discussion
Could present how this structure would work (focusing on differing aspects/logistics)
Report back / debrief opportunities - these could also turn into seed ideas for IDLE sessions / twitter chats

NOTE: Create Google Doc where people can sign up during our IDA session

Bringing in more of the research behind ID (part of the toolkit) - takeaways from different perspectives

Jillian will look for the last version of the needs assessment and share it out - we can then adapt with a new google doc
