Logging In to Your Device

Select your home wifi and put in your home password.

Open the Settings application from the home screen.

Select the Wi-Fi option on the left side menu, then locate your home Wi-Fi access point.

Enter your home Wi-Fi password and select Join. A blue checkmark will show next to the access point when successfully connected.

Accessing SSO

iPad (K) - Not recommended for

Kindergarten students to access.

The student's Chromebook will automatically log in to the district’s SSO (single sign on) page. Once here, students

can access Google Classroom, Exact Path, Study Island

and many other programs that their teacher may assign. Once they click on the button, it will take them to that program. Login and password for both Exact Path and

Study Island will be the student’s ID#.

If your Chromebook does not automatically go to SSO, please type in sso.tempeschools.org

in the URL to get to this page.

Google Classroom will only work on a device signed in to your child’s school account. Parents will view Google Classroom through their child’s account.

Begin by selecting the Google Classroom app from your open iPad.

Select the get started button on the screen.

Select the email or phone area and type in your TD3 Google Account.

Click next and follow the SSO login prompt with your student ID number as the username and password

You will want to use your student ID to log in for both your username and password.

You will then be brought to the TD3 Single Sign On dashboard. You will then click on the Google Classroom icon.

Once you are in Google Classroom, click on the classroom you are seeking. Every day you will want to check your grade level Google Classroom for any relevant announcements or materials and then proceed to your teachers linked Google Classroom (K-5). (Teachers may link another Google Classroom within this grade level Google Classroom.)

You will want type in your URL bar sso.tempeschools.org. Then proceed to step 2

You will want to use your student ID to log in for both your username and password.

You will then be brought to the TD3 Single Sign On dashboard. You will then click on the Google Classroom icon. (You will notice many other icons/programs that can be accessed here as well.)

Once you are in Google Classroom, click on the classroom you are seeking. Check both the stream and classwork tab to see your work.

You’ll need to make sure the Chrome browser is logged in using the student Google info. Here’s quick videos showing how to do that using a

For a quick view of anything that has been assigned to you, click on “View Your Work” at the top of the Classwork page. It will show you any assignments you may have in this Google Classroom.

When an assignment has been given, click on “View details”.

When you are finished with any assignments always click on “Mark as done”, even if you didn’t submit anything. This way your teacher knows you viewed the assignment. Also if you have questions, you can add them to “Private comments”.

To get back to the main page, click on the title of the Google Classroom that you are currently viewing.

On the left-hand side of the classwork tab, you can click on any of the topics that have something assigned. You can also scroll down the classwork page.

Once you open the Google Classroom, you’ll want to click on the middle “Classwork”. All of your announcements and assignments will be given in this “Classwork” tab.

If your teacher gives you a class code for a Google Classroom, select the plus sign and then fill in the class code and select join.

Your teacher may assign you to a Google Classroom so all you need to do is click on “Join”.

If you need to anything to the assignment, click on the + add or create.

When you are finished with the step, it will show that your work has been “Turned in”.

Once it brings you back to the main page, select “Classwork” to get back to lessons and assignments.

Tips for Parents: All Google Apps on iPad require your child to be signed in with their tempeschools email. Example: 29Firstname.Lastname@tempeschools.org and the student ID for the username and password on SSO.

Click on video icon in the upper right hand corner to access your child’s Google Meet link from Google Classroom. You will be redirected to the Google Meet app.

Click on the Classwork tab to get assignments. Click on the assignment under a topic to access links, attachments, or directions.

There are three tabs at the bottom of the Google Classroom. Stream, Classwork, and People. You will get all assignments in the Classwork tab.

Look for an invitation to join your KG Grade Level Google Classroom by school. If for some reason, you don’t have an invitation, you could ask your teacher for a join code and join by the + sign in bottom right corner.

Click the iPad home button twice to unlock. Find the Google Classroom App and click it one time to open.

*App should be logged in. If you get logged out you will need your child’s email and student ID number.

Once you are in Google Classroom, click on the classroom you are seeking. Every day you will want to check your grade level Google Classroom for any relevant announcements or materials and then proceed to your teachers linked Google Classroom (K-5). (Teachers may link another Google Classroom within this grade level Google Classroom.)

Students can access Exact Path and Study Island from their SSO (single sign on) dashboard. Please use your student ID for both the username and password.

Locate the Clever app to access Exact Path and Study Island.

Click “OK” to allow the app to use your camera so you can scan your QR code

Hold your iPad over the QR code so the camera can scan it successfully

Once you are logged in you will have access to everything that your teacher has assigned to you
