Who Are We?

Date

The Wellness team is comprised of Katie N, (Wellness Coordinator), Jennifer T. (AMFT), Sue S. (AMFT) and myself (Cynthia MSW/ PPSC Intern).

Jennifer, Sue and I all work with students individually. We help with both push-in (where we work in the classroom) or take them back to our office in the wellness center

Katie manages referrals for wellness services, works closely with administration for students with mental health concerns at school, and can provide parenting workshops if needed/requested

The point person to start with starting wellness services is Katie N

Self Care and Wellness

Date

There is a direct positive correlation between self care and wellness.

Since self care encompasses someone that engages in introspective work such as reflection/journal writing, , uses both extrinsic and intrinsic motivation and practices relaxation techniques it allows them to achieve a higher sense of self

By practicing self care and knowing what motivates us, we are able to model that for our children

Our children will learn what is acceptable practice and also what to do when they feel dysregulated
