E-Shiksha Plan for 2030

Ekal e-Shiksha’s journey so far:

Way ahead:

Since the pilot in Uttarakhand in 2016, Ekal e-Shiksha has progressed to cover the country through 5 phases.

  • Villages covered: 3402
  • Type of content; animation, tutorials
  • Ekal books

As the program continues to expand, it is constantly under revision in accordance with the learnings from the field. With a special focus on the existing Model Village, the program is on its way to expanding to 1 lakh villages through:

  • Path-breaking non-formal education via tablets
  • Convergence of experiential learning with theoretical knowledge

Measurement of Learning Outcomes

  • Learning Management System (LMS)

An LMS has been developed to digitise important Vidyalaya functions:

    • Measuring learning outcomes,
    • Assessing enrollment ratios,
    • Continuous monitoring and upliftment of students, etc.
    • To map engagement with the content for course correction if necessary

  • Generation of in-house content

To adhere to the authenticity of Ekal, we are currently producing a repository of content relevant for communities of rural and tribal India in the form of tutorial videos, animated and interactive files, and training videos for personnel. This content is in line with the Ekal curriculum and the National Education Policy, 2020.

Pragat Sanch Module

A sanch is a cluster of 25-30 Villages. At Ekal we have launched a program to convert 1200 such clusters to Pragat Sanch – leading to making 36000 Villages as ‘Adarsh Gram’ or Ideal Villages.

We track 15 critical components to assess if the village has progressed to becoming an Ideal Village.

Our team on the ground is empowered with this App to track progress and help the Village reach the ‘Adarsh Gram’ status.
