I have just moved to Jakarta and my parents think we will stay here for 2 years.
I am used to exploring cities alone, but in Jakarta I can’t because of the traffic.
So, my parents have a driver that I use a lot to go to school and to my friends’ house.
Traffic is a major problem in Indonesia.
Today I remembered that I had
English homework.
Phew: Due tomorrow!

That made me much more relaxed.
After school, my nanny reminded me I had planned to go to my friend’s house

My friend lives 11km but I was worried because...
Once it took me 2 hours to go to her house.
To get to my friends house was really quick.
To go back home was worse because it was 6 p.m.
6p.m. is the time when you don’t want to be in your car because everybody is heading back home.

When I arrived home it was 8 o’clock.
so I had a quick dinner and I went to sleep.
Mom usually wants me to go to bed at 7:00
So I did not have time to do my homework
My mom came to see me before I fell asleep
saying that I didn’t do my homework.
and told me that she sent an email to my teacher
The next day when I had English I went to see my teacher and she told me she received my mom’s email and that I was excused for now, but next time to do the homework the day it is given.

This is why I don’t like Jakarta sometimes but all my friends are used to it so I guess that we get used to it at some point. It helps us adapt.
