FORMAT

1. Match Format

  • All matches will be best of 3 short sets.
  • The first player/team to win 4 games wins the set.
  • If the score reaches 3–3, play continues until one player/team reaches 5 games.
  • If the score reaches 4–4, a 7-point tie-break will be played to decide the set.
  • If a third set is required, a super tie-break will be played instead of a full third set.

2. Deuce

  • One-point deuce will be used. At deuce, one deciding point will be played, and the winner of that point wins the game.

3. No-Let Serve

  • If a serve touches the net and lands in the correct service box, play continues. The serve will not be replayed.

4. Roster

  • Each match consists of 3 Singles and 2 Doubles.
  • A player may not play both singles and doubles in the same match.

5. Order of Play

  • No. 3 Singles
  • No. 2 Doubles
  • No. 2 Singles
  • No. 1 Doubles
  • No. 1 Singles

6. Match Timing

  • Match times are approximate, and players should be ready to play when called.

7. Scoring & Officiating

  • Players are responsible for making their own in/out line calls clearly and fairly.
  • Players should work together to keep track of the score and confirm the score throughout the match.
  • All players are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect their opponents’ calls.
  • If there is any disagreement or concern regarding line calls, scoring, or officiating, players should call a tournament official for assistance.
  • Tournament officials will step in to help resolve the situation when needed.

SEEDING

  • Teams should have a minimum of 7 players and a maximum of 8 players.
  • A minimum of 7 players is required for the duration of the tournament, as each match consists of 3 singles players and 2 doubles pairs, with no player able to play both singles and doubles in the same match.
  • Coaches will need to submit their individual/team seedings (1–8) one day prior to the competition.
  • The tournament director will share an entry form for schools to submit their rankings.
  • Initial school rankings (1–8) should accurately reflect player level, ideally using UTR and school rankings.
  • Coaches may change their lineup from match to match, but players must compete according to their submitted ranking order.

Example:If players ranked 1, 4, and 5 are selected for singles, they must play in that order.

If the doubles pairs are 2 & 6 and 3 & 7, the pair with the lower combined ranking number will play as the No. 1 doubles pair. In this example, 2 & 6 would be No. 1 Doubles.

If the combined ranking numbers are equal, the pair containing the higher-ranked player will play as the No. 1 doubles pair.
