Our Mission

A not-for-profit organization funded by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities, eCampusOntario supports innovation, collaboration and education in Ontario’s colleges, Indigenous institutes, and universities.

We provide the sector with platforms, programs and services to advance digital participation in postsecondary education, connecting Ontario’s postsecondary institutions and learners to the future of learning and the future of work.

The DX Guides are intended to help members and non-members figure out what service they need from us for their Dx journey

We know Digital Transformation (Dx) at its core, involves the use of digital technologies that are informed by pedagogies, research and evidence, to support learners across the entire learning lifecycle.

To varying degrees, it considers the wide range of changes necessary to align digital tools with desired outcomes for learners, educators, and institutions. These can include complex changes for people, processes, policies, services in your institutions.

Today, there is a significant need that exists to enable Digital Transformation (DX) broadly across the sector as part of modernization, addressing evolving needs and financial sustainability. We at eco know sector needs have changed and that a flexible learner experience is a priority, and we also know that a focused approach on driving transformation and collaboration is critically important to activating our members in an innovation system, and as you know DX underpins all aspects of the Government of Ontario’s Virtual Learning Strategy.

Our role at eCampusOntario, is focused on helping to derisk the investment you and your institutions make in DX and the innovation life cycle, to ensure teaching and learning capacity in our members is maintained and is able to grow competitively with our higher ed ecosystem.

And so, what does de-risking and capacity building advocacy and other associated supports actually like look. It takes the form of six Digital Transformation guides that we are going to share with you momentarily, aimed at unlocking the potential of your digital first priorities and ambitions.

As academic leaders and practitioners, you and your colleagues are influencing institutional strategy, setting priorities, and allocating resources, in order to drive digital transformation, and therefore we have developed a responsive framework of six guide Dx books, available in both EN and FR, in which we have mapped out our suite of core programs, services and platforms designed to advance your digital campus.

With that, let’s see how to unlock the potential of our institutions digital learning priorities. I’ll pass the virtual airways over to my colleague Aaman to present the first 3 DX Guides.
