There are two locations for you to adjust your volume on a chromebook.

The first are a set of 3 buttons located at the top row of keys.

Adjust the Volume

When you adjust your volume using the buttons on your Chromebook a volume popup will appear.

1. Click on the first circle to mute or unmute your Audio

2.You can use the slider to adjust the volume up or down.

3. Click on Additional Audio Settings Tab to adjust microphone volume, and what devices to use.

You can adjust your audio settings and your microphone volume here.

Output ( SPEAKERS)

Click what device you want your audio to use.

Input (Microphone)

Click what device you want your mic to use.

You also control your Chromebooks microphone mute and unmute function and its volume.

Note: Google Meets microphone volume doesn’t adjust the Chromebooks internal mic volume.

The second location to adjust your volume is by opening up the settings tab by clicking on the icons located at the bottom right of the screen.

Additional Audio Settings

If you click the Additional Audio Settings button an additional dialogue box will open up. This dialogue box is the same Audio Settings bos as when you used the volume buttons buttons.

Reminders

  1. There are 2 ways to adjust your volume using either the audio buttons or settings menu.
  2. Adjust your Microphone using the additional volumes settings.
  3. Google Meet only adjusts the volume of your meet not your chromebook microphone. If your mic is low, adjust your chromebook mic first, then google meets.
