How Fiddlesticks Works

Each node is based on a different fear. Some of these nodes play very differently than anything else in the game. Which node you take is going to be based on what your deck can do.

Fiddlesticks can obliterate your entire deck very quickly, and you need to plan for this the entire adventure. This means not cutting cards, picking up powers like Counterfeit copies, avoiding cards and powers that generate other cards, and potentially buying cards in the shop. A bigger deck means Fiddle is easier. One turn kills are, of course, always an option.

Many cards have the Philosopher’s Stone/Elixir of Skill item which synergizes extremely well with Jumpscare and can result in very wide boards on early turns.

Threats? and Notes

All of the transform powers have elixir of skill.

The bushes have studded leather.

You can get overwhelmed if there are a lot of Valley of Imitation on the board, otherwise the biggest threat is the +stats from the transform but those aren’t permanent.

Threats and Notes

This isn’t very threatening.

If you let your opponent play a card in the first round before you play a card, you’ll usually avoid one stack of gloom.

Glare has Grifter’s Deck but whatever.

Threats and Notes

The List on 6.5 has Elixir of Sorcery.

The List targeting works by first targeting things without vulnerable and then targeting whatever is on the right.

Despite the List forcing a free attack on a unit, since the biggest units don’t have overwhelm it’s not super threatening.

Threats and Notes

This usually isn’t very hard but can go wide pretty quickly. You also have to win by turn 7 and there are many cards that slow you down.

On 6.5, the birds will have Quick attack from the start, so you’ll want to remove Royal Shimmerwing ASAP.

Galesong Flock can make big birds.

Iceborn Legacy spirals out of control if the game goes long but otherwise is fine.

Threats and Notes

Bigger deck means less nightmares!

Ryze will stop you from decking out.

If you have a full hand, you won’t add any cards to your hand so nothing will be obliterated.

If you have Counterfeit copies, try to wait until they are under 6-7 mana for Crowstorm.
