Agenda:

The purpose of this orientation is to provide incoming preschool families with a better understanding of school and program policies so your child has the best transition as they enter Lincoln School.

Parents,

Dress your child for the weather. Children will go outdoors unless:

  • Weather warning (i.e. pollution)
  • Precipitation that could be concerning
  • Extreme temperatures

Please supply the following items:

  • Small crib sheet and blanket (sent home weekly for washing)
  • Lunch and snack (well-balanced)
  • Wipes and diapers (enough for the week)
  • Extra set of clothes in a ziplock bag

Overall good health practices are essential to the development of young children. This includes good hygiene,well-balanced meals, and enough sleep. Good habits stick when parents and teachers work together!

Parent Involvement

Curriculum

Studies allow parents to get involved in the different topics

WOW Experiences allow for parent visits at the end of each study for a culminating activity

You must come to the door and pick up your child. We will not walk them to your car.

Parking is very limited. Consider parking further away and walking or looping around until you find a spot.

  • Appointments only.
  • Use the main doors during the school day.
  • Make sure you have a picture ID. Update your emergency contact pickups.
  • Limit dropping off items.

There are monthly drills, cameras throughout the building halls and exterior, a Raptor ID system, School Law Enforcement Officer (Officer Rob), and Supervisor of Security (Mr. Gonzalez).
