April PAC Review (cont.)

  • Educator and SLPS parent Juanita Phillips-House gave some EXCELLENT recommendations for keeping your student learning over the summer!
    • Ask your child’s teacher for their Lexile Level at the end of the year and use it at the library to find books at their independent reading level
      • The library’s Youth Services Provider or Homework Helper can help you out!
    • SLPL also lets you check out Chromebooks and hotspots with a library card
      • Keep and use your student’s class logins for academic apps like Epic Reading, Prodigy math, Imagine math/reading, etc
      • Your child’s teacher can give you those passwords if you don’t have them
    • Summer Bridge Activity books are good for all ages
      • Summerbridgeactivities.org
