Waive/Enroll SHIP Guide
To begin, please go to this website to view your Gallagher Bay dashboard:

How to Waive
(This means you DO NOT want to enroll in / purchase the student health insurance because you have health insurance that is accepted in the DMV area)
After logging on, you will get a view of the dashboard. Please select waive.
If this is your first time completing the waiver, you will not see this message.
If you have previously completed the waiver, you may see this option. Clicking yes will pre-fill the most recent waiver.
Check the box to confirm.

Enter the name of the person who is completing the application.
You also have the option to enter an alternate email address.
For Step 2: Insurance Company Information, you will need your insurance ID.
Use your insurance ID to fill out the blanks.
If you are the only person on your health insurance, please select yes.
If you are under your parent or your spouse’s insurance, please select no.
Please upload a photo of the front and back of your insurance card.
If you are applying with your Medicare insurance, please ensure you attach your benefits letter with the current academic year.

After you have filled out all of the information, please click complete & submit.
You will receive an email confirming that your waiver has been submitted and is pending. Please allow up to 5 business days for your waiver to be processed.
How to Enroll
(This means you want to enroll / purchase the student health insurance because you have do not have health insurance or your health insurance is NOT accepted in the DMV area)
After logging on, you will get a view of the dashboard. Please select enroll.
If you would like to add your children or a spouse, you may do so here.
Adding additional family members will increase the cost. For the most updated pricing information, please refer to page 6.
Click enroll to select the plan you desire.
You may have the option to select either the current semester, or the Annual (year-round) plan.
Please check the box to select yourself to be enrolled.
Once you have completed the list, please select the submit button on the top right corner.
You will receive an email to confirm your enrollment.
