We have deployed almost 200 Internet hotspots, but a significant portion of our student population still struggle with reliable Internet connectivity.

Online Expectations

For days when students are not in the building receiving in-person instruction, students and families should expect:

    • RMS:
      • Grades 6–8: Average of 2.5 hours per day

    • RHS:
      • Grades 9–12: Average of 3 hours per day

Teacher Roles

In Person:

  • Teachers will teach in person and monitor students’ progress in Edgenuity on their off-days
    • Check-in Zoom on Wednesday (second contact of the week)
    • Check on students regularly who are at home working

Online:

  • Teachers will monitor progress and consistently check in and offer support when needed
  • There will be designated times (via Zoom or phone call) available to students for support

Grading

  • Grading will be based on student’s level of proficiency in relation to the state standards embedded in the course
  • All students will be expected to be engaged and complete the online curriculum at home
  • Students who fall behind will be offered in person and/or remote interventions
