A-B Tech Calendar is different from BCS school calendar:

  • Most Fall courses end before Winter Break.
  • Many Spring courses begin before the end of BCS Fall Semester.
  • A-B Tech has a short Drop/Add period. Students may drop a course without penalty (it will not print on transcript) if dropped during Drop/Add period.
  • Census Period: students must START their class and complete initial assignments within first week of class or they will be automatically dropped from their A-B Tech course.

  • HS GPA must be 2.8 unweighted to register for most A-B Tech courses
    • students with a lower GPA may still access some courses from the Career-Technical Pathway with a GPA waiver.

  • GPA - CCP students are accruing a HS GPA AND a College GPA
    • An A on your HS GPA = 5 points, and a College GPA= 4 points.
    • To earn HS credit, a student must earn a D.
    • To earn College credit, a student must earn a C.

For this reason, students who are earning less than a “C” are recommended to withdraw and re-take the course with support. Students do not want to start their college record with a 1.0 GPA!
