• Retreat Center Capacity: Maximum of 23 People
• Security Deposit: $100 check to reserve on calendar; used only in case of damages

How to Make a Reservation

1. Email retreatcenter@cccsilverspring.org with a request, including:

• Preferred date
• Name and contact information (email and phone #) for the individual taking responsibility for the reservation - the User.

2. Once User** (the person making the reservation) receives confirmation email from retreatcenter@cccsilverspring.org, User must submit a $100.00 security deposit in the form of a check. This is required to place the reservation on the calendar. This fee is referred to as the Reservation check.

• Make check payable to Christ Congregational Church with “Retreat Center Deposit” on the memo line. The deposit will only be used in case of damages or unreturned key.
• Mail or drop off check (during weekday business hours) at Christ Congregational Church, Attn: Retreat Center.

To Preview Available Dates for Rental

2. Go to the Events tab and scroll to your desired date.

The Breeze church calendar is only available to church attendees.

NOTE**: The User will be responsible for accessing and returning the key, ensuring all documentation is properly completed and returned, providing payment, and supervising at the Retreat Center for the duration of the reserved time.

 Completing the Reservation

3. No later than one week prior to scheduled use, the User must submit payment in full, in the form of a check.

• Make check payable to Christ Congregational Church with “Retreat Center Fees” on the memo line. Mail or drop off check (during weekday business hours) at Christ Congregational Church, Attn: Retreat Center.

4. User must sign the following documents and submit to retreatcenter@cccsilverspring.org.

Once steps 1-4 have been completed, The User will be emailed the code to the lockbox for the keys to the Retreat Center.

Refunds Policy

Refunds will only be granted if weather conditions/ford water levels prevent accessing the property.

Property Use

Heat:

• The house and cabins all have individually-controlled electric baseboard heating. Thermostats are locked. Heating is turned on with 12-hour timers; and re-set as needed. Heat must be turned off before leaving the property.

Food:

• Users must bring all food and paper products they will need, including staples such as flour, sugar, coffee, tea, spices, baking supplies, etc.
• Upper cabinets are available to store your food during your visit
• All food must be taken home at the end of your visit

Cooking/Cleaning:

• As always, there is no dishwasher at the Retreat Center. Dish cleaning supplies are provided for your use.
• The Center includes a vacuum, Swiffers, brooms, dustpans, and bathroom cleaning supplies for use during and at the end of your stay.

Property Use

Trash:

• All garbage and recyclables must be taken home at the end of your stay.
• There is no trash or recycling pick-up at the Retreat House at this time.
• Failure to remove all trash and recycling will result in a charge against the security deposit.

Cleaning:

• Users are responsible for thoroughly cleaning all areas of the Retreat Center before leaving. (Please follow the cleaning checklists in the User Packet.)
• The Retreat Center has a rotation of Retreat Center committee members who will visit the Center between guests, to assess the property and ensure adequate cleaning.

NOTE: Security deposit will be returned, after satisfactory condition of the Center property has been confirmed.
