Eligibility Requirements:

  • Completion of 2 levels of French classes
  • Be enrolled in French 3 or higher
  • Have at least a 3.5 GPA in all French classes
  • Have at least a 3.0 academic GPA

Once a member:

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA overall
  • Maintain a 3.5 or higher GPA in French classes
  • Enroll in a French class each year
  • Tutor French students when needed
  • Participate in community service events (Pride Day, Restaurant Fundraisers, International events, etc.)
  • Attend and participate in annual induction ceremonies
  • Organize social activities that promote the French language and culture
  • Attend monthly meetings, take-on leadership roles, if desired
  • Participate in National French Week and other SHF activities on campus
  • Encourage other students to study French
  • Encourage other students, even if not in French classes, to attend SHF social events and National French week events
