DECA / FBLA

Why DECA/FBLA?

Business isn’t just for business majors.

Surprisingly, many of the successful students in business competitions don’t plan on majoring in business. They’re heading into engineering, law, or even medicine.

DECA and FBLA require thinking fast, speaking clearly, solving real-world problems, and learning to lead–all while under pressure.

From roleplays to case studies, students gain hands-on experience that extends far beyond the classroom. These events develop critical thinking and teamwork– key skills that top schools and careers look for.

Why Pantheon DECA/FBLA?

Two Possibilities of DECA Clubs without professional coaches:

Teacher Run:

Your school’s economics teacher allocates extra hours a week outside of school towards managing the club.

They manage the funds, teach the DECA content, handle membership, students, out-of-school plans, competition plans, and various other logistics

Risks:

  • Overwhelming teachers with time and tasks reduces performance
  • Things get missed. Teachers are overworked and have finite mental capital
  • Teachers lack DECA experience. Even if teachers learn the content they won’t have the experience to teach DECA well

Student Run:

Students run the program. This is a reality for many schools!

Students are allocated funds by the school. They are self-taught and hold little to no incentive for bettering the school’s program as a whole.

Risks:

  • Students don’t manage funds or timelines well. Misallocation of funds and time is a common and unfortunate product
  • The school’s club never improves. Dedicated teachers are necessary to improving the program permanently.
  • Students need guidance! Support is the key to success and the cure to mediocrity

Why Pantheon DECA/FBLA?

Logistics

Pantheon provides mentors dedicated to taking care of membership and event logistics to create a clean and smooth extracurricular process. With meticulous care, Pantheon guarantees a flawless competition experience for students and administrators.

The Hidden Complexity of DECA

Running a DECA program is more than just signing upSchools must manage:

  • Event selection and student matching
  • Registration and submission deadlines
  • Rubric-specific formatting and preparation
  • Presentation coaching and feedback cycles

Many schools struggle with the complex, multi-step process of fulfilling DECA competition requirements. Without expert guidance, students often submit incomplete projects that disqualify them before they even compete. Hiring a seasoned DECA mentor ensures your program runs smoothly and your students are truly competitive.
